Dr. Kevin Yip Man Hing is a senior orthopaedic consultant surgeon with more than 22 years experience here and abroad in treating orthopedic problems ranging from common orthopaedic problems, sports injuries and degenerative changes of orthopedic problem. Dr. Yip obtained his medical degree from St. Thomas’ Hospital London, England. He completed his post-graduate training in London, obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1990, and worked in several hospital units in England before moving to Hong Kong. He became an Associate Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Prince of Wales Hospital and participated in extensive research in various fields especially the knee and shoulder. After leaving Hong Kong in 1998, he joined Gleneagles Hospital as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. Apart from general orthopaedics, his main areas of interest are knee and shoulder surgery. Associate Professor Yip has been a pioneering knee surgeon for the past 20-plus years and is perhaps best known in orthopedics as one of the top surgeons in total knee reconstruction, ACL reconstruction and meniscal repairs. Dr. Kevin Yip specializes in cartilage restoration, complex knee disorders, biologic knee reconstruction as well as sports and shoulder injuries. He has authored and edited several hundred well-reviewed publications, including highly recognized orthopedic texts on knee surgery, arthroscopy, sports medicine and cartilage transplantation. His publications also includes book chapters, technique papers, and presentations describing the techniques and results of shoulder, elbow and knee surgery.
